A very nice wash drawing by the English artist James Bourne (1773-1854) showing figures in front of Rebarn House in Penge Common. This work is in good condition and is signed  and titled in the artist’s own hand, verso, together with his London address at No 4 Somerset Street, Portman Square.  There is also a label for Newman Fine Art. This work was sold at Bonhams in Solihull in 2009.

Measures 23.5 cm wide by 28.5 cm deep (39.5 cm by 45.5 cm in its original frame and mount).

A delightful watercolour/wash painting by the English artist John Edwin Oldfield (c1700-c1860) depicting Ryswyck House in the village of Groussen in Holland with  figures in the foreground. In good condition in its original frame and mount. Signed, lower right, by the artist. This work was sold at Christies in Bond Street London in 1998.

Measures 22 cm wide by 18 cm deep (49 cm by 44 cm in its frame and mount).

A Pair of Highland Landscapes by William Augustus Sillince (1902-1974)

A rare pair of landscape watercolours showing Highland scenes by the English artist William Augustus Sillince. Each is signed by the artist, lower right, and both are in good condition having recently been professionally reframed. These are unusual, since Sillince was primarily a cartoonist.

Each measures 33.5 cm wide by 23 cm deep (52 cm by 43 cm in their frames and mounts).

Waterfall (Eas Fors, Mull?) by Colin Bent Phillip RWS, (1855-1932)

A lovely and very large waterfall by the English-born watercolourist  Colin Bent Phillip who produced a great number of paintings of Scotland. This present work shows a waterfall which could be Eas Fors in Mull although I am not sure about this. Signed, lower right, and dated July 1913, this painting is in good condition.

Measures 60 cm deep by 85 cm wide (89 cm by 119 cm in its mount and frame).

Three Figures And A Donkey On A Rocky Path by William Payne

A watercolour by the English artist William Payne (1755-1830) depicting three figures walking a donkey along a rocky path skirting a river. Behind is a bridge with a house in the distance. Unsigned and in good condition. Has obviously been reframed at some time. Verso, a label states that this is a sketch from “Fancy” although I can find no reference to this work.

Measures 25 cm wide by 16 cm deep (44.5 cm by 34.5 cm in its frame and mount).
