Blackpool Opera House by Fortunino Matania

Another amazing image from the Italian artist and illustrator Fortunino Matania, showing the stage and audience during an operatic performance at Blackpool. Signed lower left, this work is in good condition having been newly reframed and mounted behind museum-quality U.V. glass. From the private estate of a commercial airline pilot who collected items and images relating to balloons and ballooning.

Measures 32.5 cm wide by 22.5 cm deep (51 cm by 43.5 cm in its frame).

Another super  little watercolour by Dr.Alexander Merrie Hardie showing an extensive landscape with a farm in the foreground and hills behind. Signed lower right and dated 1960 by the artist. Bears a label, verso, indicating an Aberdeen address. and that it may have been shown at the Royal Scottish Academy in 1960. In good condition in its original frame and mount.

Dundee Harbour and Docks by James Macintosh Patrick, O.B.E., R.S.A. (1907-1998)

A rare image of Dundee harbour by the renowned Scottish artist James McIntosh Patrick showing a ship tied up alongside the dock.  Signed, in pencil, lower right, the artist  also indicates in the plate that its was etched for the long-established Dundee company William Briggs and Sons. In good condition, remounted in its original frame which reflects its age.

Measures 18 cm wide by 13 cm deep (47 cm by 37 cm in its frame).
