Tone Poem: Cadger – by Andy Stenhouse R.S.A. (b.1954)

An enigmatic little work by the Scottish contemporary artist Andy Stenhouse.  Seemingly based on a preoccupation with Aberdeen and its environs, this mixed-media work is in  good condition in its original frame. Bears a label, verso.

A delightful little pencil and gouache sketch by the Scottish artist David McLeod Martin. Signed lower right and in good condition in its original frame and mount. The bronze-gilded frame has some slight blemishes. Bears a label, verso, for the West End Gallery in Falkirk.

Scarab by Bill Shannon

A recently-completed mixed media work using  pastel, spray and. acrylic paint and parts of derelict stringed instruments to create an impression of an ancient Egyptian scarab, complete with hundreds of years of graffiti. The purchaser of this piece can have their own name or that of someone  they love, added to the grafitti  together with a date of their own choosing. Your name could be alongside such luminaries as Robert Frost, Elvis Presley, Jean Miro,  Joan Eardley and Paul Gauguin and a host of other lesser-known characters who vandalised this ancient symbol over the years!

Cottage Chick by Lindsay Keir (Contemporary)

An absolutely delightful work in mixed media with collage, titled “Cottage Chick”  by the Kilbarchan-born artist Lindsay Keir.  Her signature, lower right, is partially obscured by the mount which is in fine condition as is the original frame The works is stamped, verso, and comes with a label signed and titled by the artist.
