A gorgeous impressionist watercolour by the Edinburgh-based English artist Sax Shaw showing an exterior view of the Edinburgh Medical School. Initiailled by the artist, it bears an original note, verso, from a professor at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary indicating that the artist had painted the work for his secretary, who had admired his work. In good condition in its original frame and mount.
