Bill Shannon Scottish Mixed Media

Scarab by Bill Shannon

A recently-completed mixed media work using  pastel, spray and. acrylic paint and parts of derelict stringed instruments to create an impression of an ancient Egyptian scarab, complete with hundreds of years of graffiti. The purchaser of this piece can have their own name or that of someone  they love, added to the grafitti  together with a date of their own choosing. Your name could be alongside such luminaries as Robert Frost, Elvis Presley, Jean Miro,  Joan Eardley and Paul Gauguin and a host of other lesser-known characters who vandalised this ancient symbol over the years!

Measures 75 cm wide by 112 cm deep.
