“Take The Second Tuesday On The Left” – Pink Neon Light – by Bill Shannon

A close friend said this to me in conversation a few weeks before he died with dementia. I didn’t really understand then what he was trying to say – and I still wonder about it. Was the context geographical or temporal? What was he on about in his confused ramblings? And then it occurred to me that, ironically, my friend was being quite prescient. His funeral was a few days before the country closed down due to Covid-19 and it seemed to me that, since then, the whole world has lost much of its sense of time and place. So, “take the second Tuesday on the left” . Who knows where you might end up and what you might find there?

Measures 1 metre wide by .5 metre deep.
