This original pen and ink cartoon drawing by the English artist Peter Hobbs is untitled but it is obvious that this rather portly sportsman is in a positively balletic paroxism of delight after hitting a good ball. This work, in its original frame, is in good condition.
Measures 18.5 cm wide by 23.5 cm deep (35.5 cm by 40 cm in its frame).
£180

If you’re a dog lover you can’t fail to appreciate the fine work by the English artist Herbert Dicksee (1862- 1942). This present example – a study of two Alsations – shows just what a fine hand he had. In good condition in its original frame, it is signed in pencil and numbered 121 from a run of 150.
