The Tolbooth Edinburgh by Louis Weirter


A lovely etching of the historic Tolbooth in Edinburgh’s Old Town by the Scottish artist Louis Weirter.  Built in 1591 this was  the centre of Administration for the Canongate area of the city and is now a museum and a tavern. In good condition and in its original frame, this work is signed and titled in pencil by the artist.

Measures 24 cm wide. by 31 cm deep (43 cm by 55 cm in its frame).

An etching of Dinan in Brittany, signed and titled in pencil  by the Scottish artist Lopuis Weirter.  In good condition in its original frame and mount.

Measures 22 cm wide by 32 cm deep ( 43 cm by 54 cm in its frame).



The Auld Brig O’ Ayr by Louis Weirter (1873 -1932)

A view of the town of Ayr with the old bridge across the river. Signed in pencil by the artist Louis Weirter from a run of 400,  this work is in good condition having recently been remounted in its original frame.

Measures 25 cm wide by 19 cm deep (38.5 cm by 35 cm in its frame and mount).
