The Tolbooth Edinburgh by Louis Weirter

 

A lovely etching of the historic Tolbooth in Edinburgh’s Old Town by the Scottish artist Louis Weirter.  Built in 1591 this was  the centre of Administration for the Canongate area of the city and is now a museum and a tavern. In good condition and in its original frame, this work is signed and titled in pencil by the artist.

Measures 24 cm wide. by 31 cm deep (43 cm by 55 cm in its frame).
