Craigcrook Loch, Edinburgh, Indistinctly Signed

A lovely little image of Craigcrook Loch, in Edinburgh, one of the original and historic sheets of water in the proximity of the city – an ancient loch described as “one of the seven eyes of old Dun Edin”.  This work is titled  “Craigcrook Pond” and  dated “04” – presumably 1904- and appears to bear a signature – possibly “Wild”. In good condition.

A Pair Of Watercolours of Old Kilsyth by Alex Gibson (exh. 1912-1940)

Kilsyth, near Glasgow,  in past times  by the Scottish artist Alex Gibson.  One image is of Tarnbrae, not far from the village, and the other shows the architecture of the old buildings in the hamlet itself.  Both signed and titled by the  artist and in good condition.
