Dundee Harbour and Docks by James Macintosh Patrick, O.B.E., R.S.A. (1907-1998)

A rare image of Dundee harbour by the renowned Scottish artist James McIntosh Patrick showing a ship tied up alongside the dock.  Signed, in pencil, lower right, the artist  also indicates in the plate that its was etched for the long-established Dundee company William Briggs and Sons. In good condition, remounted in its original frame which reflects its age.

A very pleasing little etching showing The Five Sisters of York -the memorial window in York Minster dedicated to the memory of all the women in the British Commonwealth who lost their lives in the First World War. Signed and titled in pencil and numbered five by the artist Charles A. Barker of whomI can find no information. In good condition,  with the image clean and remounted in its original frame which is good for its age.

After Rain by Bet Low (1924-2007)

A stunning watercolour entitled “After Rain” showing an extensive  Orkney landscape by the highly regarded Gourock-born artist Bet Low. Signed lower right and bearing a label, verso,  from the Compass Gallery in Glasgow indicating this work was shown at the New Painting Exhibition there between February 19th. and March 16th. 1972. The label also identifies the original purchaser.  In good condition. This work has been remounted and re-backed and fitted with archival glass. The original label has been retained.
