An abstract gouache on newsprint by the Edinburgh artist Stella Cartwright (1938-85), lover and muse of George Mackay Brown and known as The Muse of Rose Street. This work is signed and dated 1972 and is in fine condition. Very stylish. Recently reframed but original Torrance Gallery label retained verso.
Measures 26 cm wide by 30 cm deep (55 cm by 49 cm in its frame and mount).
