A beautiful mezzotint of Lord Mansfield (1756-1788), the Chief Justice of England by the engraver and printer Lawrence Jossett from a painting by David Martin in the possession of Sir Geoffrey Hutchinson. Signed in pencil, lower right, this work is blind-stamped and bears a label, verso, from Messrs D. MacDonald and Bros of Glasgow and was published by Frost and Reed in 1956. It is clean and in good condition in its original frame.
