Based in Kilbarchan, Scotland, Rosaleen Orr was a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, studying  under David Donaldson and William and Mary Armour.  A multi-talented woman, she was a poet and author as well as an  accomplished artist who showed her work at  the Royal Scottish Academy, The Glasgow and Paisley  Institutes and the Glasgow Arts Club.

A Bowl Of Cherries by Rosaleen Orr (1935-2015)

A little still-life in oils by the Glasgow artist Rosaleen Orr showing a bowl of cherries on a bed of  leaves.  Signed lower right and in good condition  in its original frame. Painted on board, it bears a label, verso, for the Studio Artists Gallery.

Measures 16 cm wide by 11.5 cm deep (34.5 cm by 29 m in its frame).
