James MacIntyre was an Ayrshire-born artist who specialised in figure and domestic pictures. He exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Hibernian Academy, the Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts, and elsewhere.
A distant view of the Old Man of Storr on the Trotternish Peninsula on the Isle of Skye – by the Scottish artist James Macintyre. Here the distinctive rock formation is seen from the old Baragill Bridge, near Portree. In good condition, remounted in its original frame, and pencil-signed by the artist.
