An original and thought-provoking work from the Scottish contemporary artist John Byrne entitled “In The Garden Of Rememberance Another Flower Dies”. This piece is one of his “handkerchief pictures’, using as it does two pieces of material – in this case a rumpled white tablecloth with coloured detailing and a pink handkerchief” – to create a touching and saddening image recalling images of the Great War. This work is signed by the artist and is in good condition. There are a few bumps and scrapes on the original frame.
