A delightful etching in colours by the Skye-based printmaker Tom Mackenzie, entitled “Sgurr A’ Gheadaidh’ and showing the view from the highest point on the central section of the Cuillin Ridge on Skye. This lovely work is signed by the artist and was used as a poster for a collaboration between Mackenzie and the Gaelic poet Sorley Maclean whose 18-line poem -“Air (on) Sgurr A’ Gheadaidh” – celebrates the majesty and loneliness of this wild, haunting place.
Measures 62 cm wide by 48 cm deep (79 cm by 66 cm in its original frame and mount.)
