Lady Stair’s Close, Edinburgh by A. Oakley

A very nice view of one of Edinburgh’s historic closes – Lady Stair’s – just off the Royal Mile in the Old Town. The location of a  17th. century townhouse, built in 1622 for the Edinburgh baronet Sir William Gray of Pittendrum and acquired by Lady Stair almost a century later,  This work is in good condition, signed and titled in pencil and remounted in its original frame. I have no  information about this artist.

Measures 16 cm aides by. 25 cm deep (34 cm by 44 cm in its frame).
