Born in Southwark, England in 1882, William P. Robins, who studied at St. Martin’s School of Art, went on to create over 270 etchings, woodcuts, lithographs, drawings, mezzotints, dry~points, aquatints, watercolors and oil paintings over the course of his 77 years. His subjects were mainly landscapes, farm scenes and landscapes, harbors and boats and detailed studies of buildings and bridges He also produced a limited number of portraits. His work can be seen numerous public collections and a large number of etchings are held in the collection of Newcastle University
