Frances Abel William Taylor Armstrong (F.A.W.T. Armstrong) was born in Malmesbury, Wilts but lived in Bristol for many years. He exhibited widely, including 126 works at the Fine Arts Society and 54 at the Royal Society of British Artists. Elected RBA in 1895.
