Alexander MacPherson was a landscape artist in watercolour who was elected R.S.W. in 1932 and who showed 34 works at the Glasgow Institute, 21 at the Royal Scottish Academy, 37 at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours and others at the Royal Academy and Liverpool’s Walker Gallery.

Beached Boats by Alexander MacPherson R.S.W. (1904-1970)

A lovely watercolour by the Glasgow artist Alex MacPherson showing two beached  boats which are somewhat the worse for wear.  Signed by the artist and in its original frame and mount. In good condition.

Measures 37.5 cm wide by 28 cm deep (60 cm by 50 cm in its frame).
