Abbeville, France – 18th.C. Oil On Canvas

I A lovely old oil on canvas of a busy street scene in Abbeville, in the Rhone area in the North of France. Dating from the19th century, this work is unsigned but obviously by an accomplished hand. There is a part label, verso, on which the word “Abbeville” is quite clear and the number “5”.  There is also a small and very old and unobtrusive  repair to the canvas. Original frame and painting in good condition.

Measures 24 cm wide by 29 cm deep (49 cm by 54 cm in its frame).
