An interpretation of one of the three main lights on the East
Gable of the Chancel of Dornoch Cathedral originally designed and produced by Christopher Whall (1849-1929) to represent Faith, Love and Hope. This mixed-media work – oil paint, wire, epoxy – by Bill Shannon, shows “Hope”, a young women holding an anchor. These windows commemorate Cromartie, the 4th Duke of Sutherland (1851-1913) and were commissioned by his wife and children.
