Dated November 22nd 1879, this pen and ink drawing by a youthful Harold Lawes shows pedestrians and horses and carts in the High Street of St Albans. Signed, titled and dated lower left, this work bears a label verso indicating that it is from the collection of the British journlist and newspaper editor Sir Bruce Ingram. In good condition in its original frame. The frame reflects its age with a few bumps and bruises.
