A delightful watercolour depicting the head of an ox which has been decorated, presumably for a Spanish festival. Painted by Joseph Crawhall (1861-1931) who was closely associated with that group of artist known as the Glasgow Boys which included such artistic luminaries as James Guthrie and E.A. Walton. This work is unsigned which is not uncommon for watercolours by this artist and is in good condition in its original frame and mount.
Measures 17 cm wide by 16 cm deep (32 cm by 33 cm in ts frame).
