A lovely little etching of the medieval Doune Castle near Stirling by the locally-based artist John George Mathieson (exh. 1918-40). Signed and titled in person, this is in good condition having been remounted in its original frame. A framer’s label for Gibson of Glasgow has been retained.
Measures 20 cm wide by 13 cm deep (46.5 cm by 34 cm in its frame and mount.)
