A lovely watercolour entitled “Corsica from Evisa looking towards Porto”, by William Coutts Keppel, Viscount Bury (1832-1894). Showing an extensive landscape with steep hills left and right and houses in the middle distance. Recently reframed and remounted and in fine condition, unsigned but titled in paint by the artist and bearing part of an original label, verso, attributing this work. In 1860 Coutts Keppel represented this part of the world in Parliament which fact could account for it turning up here in the Highlands of Scotland.
