In fine condition having recently been professionally reframed. Signed by the artist who studied in Edinburgh before travelling extensively, including Italy, Morocco, Tunis and Algeria. He exhibited widely, showing 165 works at the Royal Scottish Academy, 119 at the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours and 69 at the Glasgow Institute and elewhere.
A very nice little watercolour depicting a street scene, possibly in Algiers, typical of this artist’s work – Pollock Sinclair Nisbet (1848-1922).
Measures 24 cm wide by 35 cm high (46 cm by 58 cm in its frame and mount).
