SOLD - no longer availableBorn in Glasgow in 1937, George Devlin was noted for his fresh, bright and spontaneous plein air work of which this present picture is perhaps an example. After attending the Glasgow School of Art between 1955 and 1960, Devlin established his own painting schools in France in the late 1960s and again in 1989. His paintings, mainly landscapes particularly of Italy, France and Scotland but also India and South Africa, were always eagerly appreciated.
