Born in Wick, Caithness, Thora Clyne gained her Master’s Degree with Honours at Edinburgh University and College of Art in 1960 under Willie Gillies and Derek Clarke. After working at the Aberdeen Art Gallery she studied printmaking at the University of Aberdeen and later served as a part-time lecturer at Edinburgh College Of Art. Clyne has exhibited at solo and group shows in the UK, Europe and America and at the RSA, the RA and the RSW.
