L’Abbaye D’Orval, Belgium, etching indistinctly signed

A view from the cloisters into a courtyard of the ancient Cistercian abbey of Orval, in Luxemburg. This etching is  In good condition, recently remounted, and  is signed in ink. Signature looks like ‘D’Arsat’ or ‘Larsat”. Orval Abbey was founded in 1132 in the Gaume region of Belgium and is located in Villers-devant-Orval, part of Florenville in the province of Luxembourg.

Measures 29 cm wide by 40 cm deep (42 cm by 54 cm in its frame).

Newcastleton From The Pollach by Dr Rufus Evans (exh.1904-40)

An extensive landscape in watercolour wash entitled  “Newcastleton from the Pollach”, in Roxburghshire in the Scottish Borders, by the artist Dr. Rufus Evans who showed in the first half of the last century. Signed and titled in the margin. In good condition in its original frame and mount.

Measures 21cm wide by 18.5 cm deep (38 cm by 30 in its frame).
