I can find no information about this artist although this painting bears a label, verso, indicating that Thomson lived in Bishopbriggs in Lanarkshire and that this work was shown at a Paisley Art Institute.

NoA very nice oil on board showing an extensive landscape of the twin mountains – Canisp and Suilven – in Sutherland in the Scottish Highlands. Signed Lower left and in good condition in its original frame.

Measures 58 cm wide by 38 cm deep (68 cm by 53 cm in its frame).
