Edwin La Dell (1914-1970), a highly influential figure in post-war British printmaking, was Head of Printmaking at The Royal College of Art from 1955 – 1970 and led a generation of printmakers to produce their own original work. La Dell made lithographs for projects such as “The School Prints” and the “Lyons Lithographs” as well as creating new work with ideas such as “The Coronation Series” in 1953 which involved important artists from the Royal College of Art like Scott, Minton, Piper and Vaughan.
A fine lithograph by the English artist Edwin Ladell (1914-1970) showing Glenalmond College in Perthshire, one of Scotland’s leading Independent Schools. In good condition, it is signed, titled and numbered 23 from a run of 75 by the artist.
