A French etcher and engraver on both wood and copper, Boilot studied printmaking techniques under Butin and Damman, in Parisnand showed in many exhibitions including the Paris Blanc et Noir Exhibition of 1886. He was recognised for his fine and detailed style and was frequently commissioned by French, English and American publishers of prints.
