A superb pencil-signed lithograph by the English artist Tim Thompson (b 1951) entitled “The Americas Cup”, showing the 1885 race when “Puritan” (representing the New YorkYacht Club) defeated “Genesta” of the Royal Yacht Squadron to take the world famous sailing trophy. Published by Mayfair Marine Ltd. of London, this work is in good condition.
Measures 55.5 cm wide by 40.5 cm deep (80 cm by 60 cm in its frame and mount).
